Age 21 must mean I'm grown up now, then?

BECAUSE...

I just watched the political debate for the general election, and not only did I UNDERSTAND it... but I secretly quite enjoyed watching it...

Do not underestimate the seriousness of this life-altering moment of TV-watching. Politics and I have always been on parallel lines that I thought were never going to meet. I'm serious here, I have tried SO often to 'get' it, my law-student housemate has sat me down to explain 'it' so many times, and I just never got it. (I guess if I'm being honest, I also just didn't give a rats bum).

So I'm thinking now... does this mean I am a grown up? Like, officially? Only proper adults understand political things, and surely its only the grown ups that even care?

Not sure how I feel about this.

This post isn't even film-related. THAT'S how bad it is. Ohmygod I just wrote a blog about politics! Although actually no, I refuse! I'm gonna say this blog is about the passage of life and my maturing process. Yes. Also, have you noticed that making some of the words pretty colours means it doesn't read so seriously?

Maybe I'll go and get chocolate all over my face (I still have Galaxy Easter Egg left over!), jump on my bed, then fall off and graze my knee. I'll feel better after that.

  1. Politics has always fascinated me!

During the 2001 election (Mr Blair's second term) i remember as a 12 year old staying up till 1 in the morning with my dad, who then woke me up in the morning by saying "Tony is still the Prime Minister". But after all my years i would not say i fully understand politics. Though I hope I understand enough to make sure my first voting decision is made for the right reasons.

I have enjoyed the debates like you, although I am sure that I am not the only one who is mainly watching to see a party leader crash and burn!
